Organic cotton is generally defined as cotton that is grown organically in subtropical countries such as India, Turkey, China, and parts of the USA from non-genetically modified plants, and without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilizer or pesticides aside from the ones allowed by the certified organic labeling
Pima is a cotton type that is grown in the United States, Peru and Australia. It features an extra-long, and more durable that make the cotton consist of better fibers. The production from this type of cotton make the fabric more softer to touch and can be lost longer in use.
A cotton blend is another way of referring to a shirt that’s made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, linen, or rayon. Cotton blend means your shirt will have the same feel as a cotton tee, but it’s a little more lightweight and resistant to wrinkles. There are also some t-shirts out there known as tri-blends
Cotton knits are a soft knit which commonly comes in jersey, rib and interlock weaves. A cotton knit can also have spandex making it move with you. 100% cotton knits are suitable for loungewear, tops and childrenswear. Cotton/spandex knits are great for tops, dresses, skirts, leggings, loungewear and childrenswear.
